To be sure, Michigan Football Memories is filled with great athletes. Names like Harmon, Oosterbaan, Kramer, Morris and Woodson conjure up all kinds of memories.

And no sports documentary would be complete without numbers—11 national championships, 41 Big Ten Championships, 18 Rose Bowl trips, 107,501 seats.

But in the end this program is not about names and numbers…it’s about passion!

Michigan Football Memories is the passion of words scribbled on a napkin on a train ride from Chicago that became one of the most recognizable fight songs in America.

It’s the passionate aroma of beef and Beaujolais intermingled with the smell of brats and Bells in the parking lot.

It’s the passion of superstitious Sheila—the super fan whose pre-game ordeal week after week is as well thought out as a coach’s playbook.

It’s the passion of 200,000 eyes focused on “the tunnel” awaiting their beloved Maize and Blue.

And it’s the passion of those in the tunnel dressed for battle but moved by the crescendo of sound known only to victors hailed.
